WISH UPON A STAR — VENUS RETROGRADE 7-25-2-15 @ 0*VIRGO TO 9-6-2015 @ 14* LEO

Hello dear Friends and Readers, Let’s get the negative potentials of this transit out of the way first, then we can concentrate on the positive.

First of all, Venus retrograde is NOT the time for cosmetic surgery or any radical change in your appearance. Since the retrograde is in Leo, the focus might be on your hair (the Lion’s mane :)) and even though you may be dissatisfied it is best to avoid big color and style changes at this time because it would be more likely that you would change your mind again after Venus goes forward.

Another standard meaning would be looking at Venus as shopping. (Venus is the ruler of Taurus.) I already shared my wallpaper story in an earlier post. Best to avoid any major purchases at this time. There’s too strong a possiblity that the item is not really what you want, or that it arrives damaged, or there can be problems with credit cards, etc.

Venus is the planet that symbolizes love and relationships. It also rules Libra, the sign of marriage and partnerships. Many people will experience this retrograde as “Who is that person I thought I knew so well? “ Previously hidden facets can come to the surface. Whether this is delightfully stimulating or emotionally devastating would depend on your individual chart. Be more cautious if transiting Venus in Leo is squaring, opposing, or even making inconjuncts (150*aspects) to the planets in your natal chart.

OK, let’s transition to the more positive experiences of Venus retrograde. Even though this transit is not considered favorable for meeting new people, it is great for looking up old friends and since it’s in Leo this time, even past romances can resume with new life and spark. I have also witnessed that a few people will actually meet someone new that is their true life partner. Usually there are positive Neptune contacts across the chart. On a Venus retrograde, it IS possible that two people meet and know instantly on a gut level that they have a soul contract together. I suppose in this particular case, they are not so much meeting someone new, but someone they recognize from a past life… These experiences are rare but possible.

So, go to that class reunion, reunite with childhood friends, call old neighbors — reach out to whomever you feel like connecting with from the past. This can be very satisfying. For the first time in the history of the planet, it is easier to find missing people and loved ones through social media.

Looking at Venus as art and beauty, what a wonderful transit to pull out that art project that you never finished! It’s a great time to refurbish and re-purpose possessions, and especially to bring beauty into our environment. Great for mending, patching, painting, etc. Not so much for a big remodel, unless you started it earlier, but great for smaller home and garden projects. If you are artistic, this would be a good time to investigate historical art and creative techniques in any medium. For example, willow baskets, cane furniture, Balinese silver smithing, woodworking without nails, weaving, etc. Many, many possibilities… I am researching perennial phlox to add to my garden…

I have had the same conversation with 4 different people over the last few days and it woke me up to write about this retrograde in Leo, the sign of children, to write about our relationships with our children. Many of us may be reviewing the past with our kids, how we parent, why we do what we do, and did it bring the desired result? This kind of inner review can be very valuable and may indeed help us to steer a new direction in the future. Evidently, there’s a lot to sort out in this department. Each person I spoke with told me they were dissatisfied with their relationship with their children. Some were little kids and some were adult kids. In each case the person was realizing they could change their own behavior but not necessarily anyone else’s behavior. Re-examining the past can be very valuable and a Venus retrograde is the perfect time to do it :))

I may revisit this blog to write more after it has unfolded. One last point. If some of you think you are NOT creative, I beg to differ…you just haven’t found your right medium yet. Every person has dormant talents just waiting to blossom and when I mentioned hidden facets in partners, it also applies to ourselves. So, go ahead over the next 6 weeks and try new things. Just don’t invest big bucks to pursue a new hobby until after Venus is forward. There’s a nice window for purchases and bringing larger projects to completion from September 6 – 16th. On 9-17-15, Mercury goes retrograde…

Best Wishes, Jenae

Good Morning, dear Friends and Readers,  all you Cancers should find yourselves  in the catbird seat at the moment, the sweet spot with Venus now moving through Cancer.  Other water signs should feel like their life is flowing pretty well, too, since we have Grand Water Trine transits setting up with inner planets in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio, and Neptune moving very slowly through Pisces.

Venus in Cancer symbolizes unconditional love and nurturing.  Cancer people are very protective of home and family.  Cancer represents the home but especially the kitchen and cooking and socializing  around food.  It’s a great month for potlucks and celebrating various occasions with a nice meal together.  Lots of Cancer women are good at catering, decorating cakes, publishing cookbooks, etc.

Venus in a man’s chart symbolizes women, love, and attraction.  When Venus in in Cancer, the women theme still applies, but can include female relatives, too — the mother, sisters, in-laws, daughters…so there may be a lot of interaction with them this month.  Venus in a woman’s chart symbolizes socializing with women, but also shopping for items for family and the home, particularly the kitchen.  For example, if you wanted to buy a juicer, this would be the time to do it, but before the 26th when Mercury goes retro.  Painting and remodeling the home are also favored at this time.  This is a great month for weddings, family reunions, showers, graduations, celebrations of all kinds…

I’ve covered a lot of the conjunctions in earlier posts, so let’s see what else Venus is doing this month.  I like to allow a day on either side of an exact Venus transit for orb.

On June 7th, the  day before the New Moon, Venus trines both Neptune and Saturn.  Grand trines mean  people can be self-sufficient and don’t need other people to jump-start them.  So this  period is a  time when water signs especially can really be in the flow with their life’s events.  What this means is you can feel very stable and grounded, lucky, too.  There’s some challenging transits leading up to the Full Moon but most people should be able to sail right around any difficulties.  An old phrase comes to mind…”you can keep your head straight when all about you are losing theirs”…  This is a good time to teach children to swim or start swimming lessons, to enjoy water activities  in a sheltered environment, not the open sea (Mars square Neptune).  Great for  groundbreaking for a pool in your yard, or a fountain, or even installing a new sink or shower or bath.

I like June 10th,  when the Moon in Cancer conjoins Venus.  Wonderful for a party, a celebration, for shopping,  for hanging out with women.  I will be cleaning my home getting ready for a family reunion.  Probably go to the grocery store that day, too, since the items I will need are likely to be on sale :))…

The 11th and 12th look a bit challenging as Venus opposes Pluto and then squares Uranus.  These transit form a T-Square which pushes a lot of energy out the empty spot — Libra.  This means people want their own way and are not in a mood to compromise.  Do your best to remain calm and diplomatic.  If it was me, I wouldn’t be signing any kinds of important paperwork or legal agreements or contracts on these days.  Mostly, though, I think you’ll find that people either aren’t in a mood to commit to social plans, or they keep changing their minds at the last minute.  Frustrating, but not a problem if you just stay flexible.  Using my own life as an example, the 12th is my family’s arrival date and I figure just have food cooked and whenever they show up is fine.  I fully expect them to show up late and hungry.  That’s one of the keys with Cancer, and ESPECIALLY with people with Cancer planets in their natal.  They need to snack frequently and they don’t like to get too far away from food and drink.  When my family leaves, I will be sending a care package with them.  Good thing I understand astrology :))  And now you do, too :))…

The 14th is a good day for medical as Venus trines Chiron.  The 15th is a good day for gatherings of women or a party as Venus sextiles Moon in Virgo.  That’s actually a fabulous time to learn more about diet and nutrition, too.

On June 20th and 21st, Mercury conjoins Venus and the Sun enters Cancer.  A sweet time for a wedding or family reunion with lots of laughter, jokes and affectionate speech.  A wonderful time to visit parents and grandparents.  It’s an interesting thing about Cancer, that while it rules babies and the love and nurturing required to care for them, Cancer also symbolizes the later years, too.  Not death like Scorpio, but more the cherishing and reviewing the family legacy — memories, antiques, the family history and geneology, passing on the treasures of the family to the next generation.  This is a great transit to “interview” the elders in your family and catch the memories, the details, the family history on video or cd.   There’s a  reason that Cancer natives are usually the ones   to inherit the family antiques, and that is because they treasure them and take care of them properly.  Those of you who like  scrapbooking could find this is a  great time to put collections of photos together to pass on to the younger generations.

The Full Moon is the 23rd at 2 degrees Cap/Cancer.  I think these mellow transits should smooth out the prelude, but the day AFTER the Moon will oppose Venus, which can be disruptive.  This transit reminds me of brides-to-be fighting over wedding dresses at a big sale in a department store.  Mostly, though, people may not be able to agree on social plans, like which movie or which restaurant to go to, or even who to socialize WITH.   A few people, with helpful aspects in their natals, will be able to have a heart to heart talk and clear the air of any misunderstandings.

Looking at  the month overall, if you need to buy a new home or move to a new one, this is probably your best time to find a great fit.  Try to schedule showings on the 10th, and the 19th to the 21st.  If you’re buying, plan to close after July 20th for best results…

People who work in the restaurant or food business should do well, also people in retail businesses that supply home and kitchen items, appliances, and baby items.  Same with farmers and ranchers — a busy time and remember the weather will continue to be unsettled.  Jupiter in Cancer should increase harvests and productivity, but with the lurking squares between Uranus and Pluto and the stress they put on Jupiter in Cancer, all bets are off.  More on this and the US chart in another post to come…

Venus enters Leo on June 27th and since Mercury is retro, Leos will need to postpone any major shopping and/or beauty treatments.  So get your hair or nails done early :))

More soon, Blessings, Jenae

Good Morning, dear Friends and Readers…I’ve been very, very busy…in my glory with all the energy in Taurus…planted a couple hundred  plants both  flowers and vegetables.  Now I’m up to the seeds and some of the pressure is off.  Time to write again…

Venus is now transiting through Gemini and this month offers some glitch transits as well as a couple of VERY pleasant ones.  Let’s start with an overview of Venus in Gemini, remembering that Jupiter expands the Gemini tendencies through June 27th.  This is a very social time, and busy.  Gemini rules education from kindergarten through high school, as well as  technical classes.  So students may be almost busier than they can handle; parents need to be supportive.  Not only are there term papers due and finals to take, but the end of the year field trips, outdoor days,  graduations, etc.  Gemini also rules the neighborhood.  You may  find you’re out in the car more than usual.  Great for short trips, even regional trips.  There are often neighborhood clean up days and group yard sales at this time.  And the wedding season is beginning, too.  Gemini rules the arms and hands and shoulders.  Those of you who are interested in calligraphy will find this an excellent time to practice the art — if you don’t have a business opportunity to use it, try bartering your skills.  People that paint signs will also find this a good month for work and for promotions and advertising.

Gemini rules siblings and cousins;  there may more get togethers and conversations than usual, and pleasant, too.  Lots of laughter, jokes, puns, and affectionate speech.  Probably a lot of family reunions and gatherings, too, more than usual.  Memorial Day, plus graduations, etc.  IF you need to get a Gemini a gift, try pretty  writing paper, interesting pens,  books of jokes, and/or word puzzles and games.

Transiting Venus conjoins the Moon is early Gemini on the 10th and 11th and this is nice for a party or lunch with the ladies.  New Moon at 19 degrees Taurus was on the 9th in PDT and was also an eclipse, which means the effects last around 6 months, so people should note if they have natal planets in the 19th degree and what aspects they have to the New Moon.  Remember that the New Moon means BOTH the Sun and Moon are in the  same degree, they are conjunct.

I like to allow an orb  of a day or two on either side of an exact transit.  Keeping that in mind, Venus is square Neptune on the 13th.  This one can be a toughie — it could symbolize grief and missing someone so deeply it hurts.  It can symbolize confusion or some kind of a mystery that is hard to clear up.  This would be a good time to visit someone who is ill or confined, to show  compassion, but it is not a great time for parties, shopping, trips, or practical matters.  Don’t lose things because you’re spacey and not paying attention.  IMO, it’s not a good day for medical either because there is a stronger possibility of negative reactions to new medicines.

Roughly the 15th to the 18th (Mercury enters  Gemini, it’s own sign, on the 15th), there are 2 inconjunct transits.  First Venus inconjunct Saturn and then Venus inconjunct Pluto.  You guys know from earlier posts that this particular transit often comes out in the workplace.  Remembering that Mercury moves fast and Neptune is in early Pisces, so they are  square — you MUST AVOID gossip, rumor and innuendo in the workplace or there will be repercussions.  Someone may try to place blame or try to make you responsible for something they should have taken care of — protect yourself by using emails rather than conversations and make every effort to promote clear and positive communication.  Another possibility is you are asked to do something extra on the job, maybe somewhat of an imposition.  IF you can do it with a good heart, down the road there may some benefits but not immediately.  Intuitively, I feel that this YOD formation via transit means some things may happen in the world that are so painful that major populations will be outraged.  (Come on, Jenae, aren’t things bad enough already?  Yeah, it makes me very sad what is happening out in the world.  Study the Hindu — the age of KALI — the earth as whole is in a very difficult long-term cycle.  Conversely,  though, there are miracles happening on a daily basis in the lives of individuals.  Remember that every great movement in history  first began as an idea in one person’s mind — as individuals, we need to plant seeds of goodness …)  I don’t know if it’s just me but so many things in the news seem to be about Saturn in Scorpio bringing to the surface the evils we need to clean up and fix — the enslavement and trafficking and abuse — people, women, children, animals, honeybees even, plants and the notorious actions of Monsanto.  Collectively, we have a huge task to accomplish…

OK, back to Venus…Venus and Mercury are conjunct on May 24th — VERY pleasant for socializing, writing, public speaking, publishing, all kind of advertising and promotions.  The Full Moon in Gemini is the next day — this period is great for parties, just don’t go overboard.  A little moderation will ensure a positive outcome.  Full Moon means the Moon is in Sag — too many adult beverages and a happy occasion could turn into a fight since the Moon opposes Venus on the 25th. IF you need to buy a car, the 24th could be the day you find the right one.

Be sure to write this one on your calendar — Venus conjoins Jupiter on May 28th, which is a Tuesday.  This is a very lucky transit.  You can interpret luck on the mundane level,  such as lotto, betting the horses, finding the perfect gifts or purchases, winning a prize of some kind, winning at sports or an election, or even as finding the parking space you need.  On the mental level, luck could mean a breakthrough in studies or research, passing tests or certifications easily, or even something like tracking down books or information you’d been looking for.  Particularly with Gemini, the intellect should be quick and sharp at the end of May.  Play to win at games that require a good memory for data, or word games — stuff like Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune.  Emotionally, this transit can bring sweet rapport and kindness.  This is a great transit for having lots of fun and maybe taking a short trip either with people you like a lot or to visit someone dear to you.  Remember that Jupiter expands and exaggerates — it IS a beneficial planet, but don’t drive too fast or book your schedule too tight.  Jupiter as the ruler of Sag would also suggest that you be moderate with eating and drinking.

Spiritually, Venus conjunct Jupiter suggests tolerance, generosity, and kindness.  Forgiveness empowers the forgiver.  IF you’ve had a disagreement with someone, and Gemini could be siblings, cousins, neighbors, or even a local club or group — this could be a good time to mend fences.  I happen to have Venus conjunct Jupiter in my natal and I notice people are especially kind to me when other planets conjoin that position.  I tend to seek and build rapport and consensus with others.  It’s just not my nature to teach through confrontation or aggression.  One of the things that built my core values early was I grew up in a miniature United Nations — my father employed people from all over the world.  Jupiter gives you a chance to know people from very different backgrounds.  One of the fun things for me was comparing notes and asking questions about what their lives were like before they came to the USA.  The Christmas party potlucks  were such a delight !!! We all expressed appreciation for the food and goodies from all over the world.  Watch and see how food creates rapport as Jupiter enters Cancer for a year — I’ll have more to say about food next month :))…

Moon in Aquarius trines Venus on May30th — continuing the theme of the week about bonding with people and celebrating together.

On June 1st and 2nd, Venus squares the Moon in Pisces, so Saturday night isn’t as much fun, but Sunday looks OK.  People may say dumb things without thinking, and sensitive people can get their feelings hurt.  Saying less might be better than saying more…  Women  could be going through some emotional changes at this time, too.  Try and sort your feelings out by yourself before saying anything you could regret later.

So there you have it, and I hope all of you get to have some good times…Blessings, Jenae

Hello Dear Readers and Friends, Venus enters Taurus today, such an appropriate transit for gardening, landscaping, even sitting under a tree to enjoy the day.  Venus rules Taurus so there is a harmony here, a little easier to be in the flow and attract to yourself  the resources that you most need.  Let’s begin with a short list of Taurus qualities and activities symbolized by this sign.  Remember some of the earlier lessons, too…Venus rules the 2nd house in the natural wheel of the zodiac.

Taurus is art, beauty, sculpture, gardening, forestry and trees in general.  It is one of the music signs.  Taurus is banking, personal money, our earthly possessions, and  developing our talents.  People with a lot of energy in the 2nd house like hobbies and they often and up turning their hobbies into a 2nd (or 3rd) career.  Taurus loves wholesale connections, a good sale, and auctions, yards sales and flea markets.  This sign rules wooden things and upholstery is a possible talent.  They like to shop for the home and decorate their lives, verging on gaudy at times but there’s nothing wrong with gold-gilded cherubs, crystals hanging in the windows,  and gold or silver throw pillows, sequins, etc.   Dolly Parton is a Taurus.

Taurus likes a well-stocked pantry and they like comfort.  Venus in Taurus rules the throat and if the weather is still cold in your area, your neck needs to stay warm but you should use pure fabrics, not polyester — cotton, wool, silk — all these are better to avoid a chill.

So…putting all this together, for the next 3+ weeks, it will be a good time to pursue the above interests and activities.  Most of the transits are pleasant.  A couple are potentially glitchy.  We’ll start with those and get them out of the way…

Bear in mind that if Venus is squaring or opposing a lot of planets in your chart, it will take more effort to manifest your goals.  Taurus is a fixed sign.  They are patient and kind and slow to anger but if they do get mad, look out !!!  The charging Bull is dangerous.  The downside can be laziness and possessiveness, qualities that make healthy relationships a lot more difficult.

I like to allow a day or two on either side of an exact Venus transit.  On April 22nd, Venus opposes Saturn in Scorpio.  This could be a sad time, with people feeling a lonely or a lack of affection in their lives.  It could also be partners opposing each other regarding money, purchases, investments, etc.  I’ve been telling my private clients this year, since Saturn is in Scorpio, that it’s important to update their wills, trusts, medical and/or financial POA forms, advanced health-care directives, and guardianship papers for those with young children.  These are serious matters and some parents have chosen to have the physical and financial guardians be different people, another way of protecting their children.  Nobody likes to think about all these dire things, but advance planning can give us peace of mind.  In general, Venus opposite Saturn is not a time for shopping unless it’s something like office supplies.  However, the serious tone of this transit makes it a good period to deal with the Scorpio issues mentioned above.

Full Moon this month is on April 25th, with the Moon in Libra. There’s an emphasis on independence versus cooperation and partnerships could be stressed.  ANY important one on one relationship. The day after, the 26th, could be the after-ripples and Venus opposes the Moon (in Scorpio) and the Moon conjoins Saturn later in the day.  There could be difficulties with women.  NOT a good day to have  a party, even though it’s on a Friday.  It’s not a good shopping day, either, because you might wish later that night that you hadn’t made the purchase.  Those of you who are caring for an elderly person could find that stubbornness becomes a big issue.  Another version, it’s not a great day to go to lunch with your mother-in-law.  I think some of you will have a heart to heart, serious talk, with a woman you love who is having big problems.  Compassion and empathy.  Be there for her…

The rest of the major Venus transits are really quite pleasant.  On April 19th, Venus sextiles Neptune in Pisces.  Sextiles mean opportunity with a little effort required to make your dreams and goals come true.  This is a great transit for finding peace of mind through the beauty of nature.  There’s an old saying, “Seek beauty for therein lies Eternal Truth.” This transit combines earth and water.  Playing around with it, you can get a mud mask at a spa, visit a park by the sea or by a lake, build a meditation garden in your backyard, even listening to music or a movie that brings out thoughtfulness and insight — all of these could apply.  By now you should have read enough of these posts that YOU are getting the hang of how to interpret the combinations of energy that the planets symbolize.  One of the nicest things about this transit is friendship that is both practical and spiritual.  Treasure your friends…

On the 21st, Venus trines the Moon — great for social times, lunch with females, shopping, too.  With the Moon in Virgo, you can buy vitamins or health products, visit a plant nursery, buy clothes for work, even something like products to clean your home.  You’re likely to find some very good deals.  This is a great day for gardening, too.  Fertile Moon in the 2nd quarter means plant above ground plants with vines — like peas and beans,
cukes if you’re in a warmer climate.

On April 23rd, Venus is 30 degrees, semi-sextile to Uranus in Aries.  Helpful to try new techniques, new products, be innovative.  You can hear some good news, unexpectedly.  Also, intuition is subtle but it’s there, so pay attention.

Venus trines Pluto in Cap on the 24th.  This one is very good for all things financial and practical — shopping for practical items, investments, starting a savings account, too.  You could receive praise at work for a job well done, even a bonus or a raise.  Another way to use this transit is to invest in yourself — spend some time and/or  money on furthering your skills, talents, and hobbies.  Still another way to use this transit would be straightening out your office or paperwork at home, particularly if you can’t find some important papers, because Pluto will help you find them as you organize yourself.  This is also a good day to get repairs done on office equipment or tools that you need for work.

Venus trines the Moon in Capricorn on the 30th — great for shopping and finding bargains of all kinds, a business lunch, socializing with the elderly, decorating your workplace or office.  It’s also good for health appointments re: bones, joints, and teeth (Capricorn).   If you’re planning cosmetic dentistry, you need more than just this simple transit to choose the right day.  The planets MUST  line up with your personal chart.  Sure, if you’re a Taurus or a Capricorn and your Venus is compatable, then go ahead — but remember the beginning of this post — if you are Leo, Scorp, or Aquarius then beauty treatments  are not as favorable on this day.

The Moon in Pisces sextiles Venus on May 5th.  This is the time to focus on your dreams and your wish list.  There is a lot of spiritual support around you, both visible and invisible.  Great for church, counseling, meditation, support groups, etc.  A great time, too, to  visit someone who is ill or confined, bring the love to them.  Music could be very inspiring in your life.  TG most of it is free these days on the internet.  I think the most important thing to remember with this transit is that the heavenly realms are made of such beauty and love that the most inspiring sights and loving experiences  on earth are but a pale reflection.  Still, the veil parts just a bit when Venus and Neptune combine, allowing us  to bring that love and beauty down to earth, if only for a little while…to remind us what awaits us on the other side, and to sustain and encourage us on our path here.  No matter how difficult life may seem, we are not alone.  Our loved ones on the other side are cheering us on…it takes guts and courage to make our way in this world.  Earth is a tough school, no doubt.  Look at today…I looked up Boston and the Moon is 25 degrees Cap — the transiting Mars-Sun conjunction in Aries today was 25-26 degrees.  An exact square.  There’s a lot of slimebuckets in this world.  I HTG they catch them before they can hurt anyone else.  Sometimes when these tragic events happen, the greatest love, brotherhood, and heroism manifest as a result.  Victory in the face of evil…

Stay safe, dear Readers…Blessings, Jenae

Back again, dear Friends and Readers…the days just roar by, literally, it’s been so windy I wondered if the power would go out, but so far so good….and now Venus is entering Aries for a 3 week transit.  Of course, this is very beneficial for people with strong Aries in their charts.  Venus is Aries is also helpful to the other fire signs, Leo and Sag.  Geminis and Aquarians get the sextile which is a positive.  Libra gets the opposition, and combined with Pluto in Cap, the Aries transits create a T-Square transit with means a lot of energy is impelled and expressed through the empty sign — in this case Cancer.  So people with strong Libra placements could find the next week or so fairly challenging, less so as the Sun progresses further in Aries. People with strong placements in Cancer and Capricorn are taking the square from transiting Aries planets — challenging, and again, more so in the early part of this forecast.  Cardinal signs could be working very hard and getting a LOT accomplished — squares can be positive, too !! Scorpio and Virgo get the inconjunct — a symbol of those sticky situations that are hard to sort out.  Don’t get sucked into thinking you have to solve every problem that might really belong to someone else. Let your conscience be your guide.  Pisces and Taurus take the 30 degree semi-sextile, very mild and subtle.  The interpretation could change A LOT if you know your chart and have natal planets in Aries; then there would be a lot more overt activity going on.

Anyway, Venus is the “attract it to you” energy.  Mars is the “go out and get it, go after it” energy.  Mars is the ruler of Aries, so Venus in this sign is not always comfortable.  Venus in Aries women are usually not traditional.  Every single  woman I ever knew with Aries strong in her chart was good with cars, with tools, with  remodeling homes, and they understand guys better than a lot of other signs.  They’re kind of brassy, ballsy — more aggressive than most women, good muscles and they thrive on sports and physical challenges.  You won’t often find them with artificial nails and a  frilly wardrobe.  They’re usually pretty good at flirting and letting a  guy know they’re interested in getting to know him better.

So, looking at this Venus in Aries transit, you have an opportunity to get more exercise as a path to health and beauty.  You have an opportunity to try new activities, meet new people, to take the initiative,  to grow.  The glyph for Aries is called the Ram’s Horns by some but to me it is the power of the seed pushing its way up out of the ground to the sunlight.  With so much voltage in the air ( so many planets in Aries), you won’t have any  lack of initiative but you might need to moderate yourself a bit.  If you are too impulsive and lack sensitivity to others, you won’t gather the support you want and need.  What you think is  just a spirited and stimulating conversation could be perceived as a fight.  So do remember that Venus by its very nature is receptive — allow yourself to be receptive to others even while you’re out there conquering the world :))…

This transit is fabulous for art involving fire, heat, and/or metals.  Pottery, ornamental iron, glass-blowing — just a few examples.  I know a guy who has a Venus-Mars conjunction in Aries and he’s a great welder.  He also loves hunting and fishing.  Since he has that artistic conjunction, he was hungry to do more than weld farm equipment.  He started making gun safes and THEN he started carving gun stocks — beautiful scrimshaw designs where it has to be perfect. And he was truly an artist in his work with guns.  Note that Aries people are often very adept with sharp tools — surgeons, carvers, butchers, and artists, too….

OK, let’s looks at some of the Venus in Aries transits coming up shortly…I’m posting the exact day of the transits, but you should also allow a day on either side of the exact time, to allow for orb.  The Full Moon is March 27th and the Libra Moon will oppose Venus as well as the Sun.  Handle the female relationships in your life carefully.  Things could fly off the handle too easily now.  Think of teenage daughters around 13- 17 years’ old.  Well, all of us have a teenager still inside us somewhere J).   People around you may not be totally  rational.

The very next day. March 28th exact, and the 29th,  Venus conjoins the Sun AND Uranus at 7 and 8 degrees Aries.  This is pretty interesting, don’t you think?  The planet of love combining with the planet of the unexpected, the intuitive and speedy Uranus,  also joining with the Sun.  Love is certainly in the air :))  With Uranus, sometimes it’s a brief relationship, a catalyst that helps us grow, though what we learn may stay with us for years, sometimes the person is not meant to walk off into the sunset WITH us…  This triple conjunction — powerful, YES !!! Stable, NO !!!  Fabulous for the arts and inspiration — creativity comes in many forms…

SO enjoy the dance, protect yourself a bit, and see what happens with your love after this transit passes…  The same thing with beauty — please forgo anything too radical in the tattoo department because you could easily change your mind once this transit passes.  Clothes are fine — they’re not permanent like tattoos or cosmetic surgery.

Spiritually, this year it’s Good Friday heading into Easter.  What a beautiful conjunction to  gather with kindred spirits and celebrate the miracle.  VERY uplifting !!!  Seek beauty for therein lies Eternal Truth…you go to church to go to church, but these transits could mean love finds YOU at church :))

Continuing with this theme of love, art, and beauty — getting outdoors is highly recommended when Venus is in Aries.  The beauty of nature may inspire you in new ways.  On April 7th there is an exact conjunction of Venus and Mars.  See the Mars in Aries post for more details.  The New Moon in Aries is April 10th — that means both Sun and Moon in Aries and Venus will also conjoin the Moon.  Usually, in a woman’s chart, Venus on the Moon means lunch with the ladies, or some kind of party.  You could give a party with these transits, or attend a party to celebrate an event — wedding, anniversary, baby shower, new home, etc.  I could be wrong — maybe it’s just a party to have a party — there doesn’t have to be a reason to gather and have some fun…

In a man’s chart Venus on the Moon would be emphasizing his relationship with females — Moms, daughters, sisters, wife, etc.  The beauty theme might express as building something or some kind of home project.  Landscaping, yard work,  or getting the patio ready for the season would fit, too.  I had a client a long time ago and he had 8 daughters — yes, he had Jupiter on his Moon J)  Can’t remember what sign, probably Leo :))  An abundance of children…  I knew another male client who had 4 sisters and he had Jupiter on his Moon in Cancer…an abundance of family…

On April 14th, Venus will be at the 29th degree of Aries and semi-square Jupiter in Gemini.  Use some caution and moderation with driving, sports, physical activities in general.  AND CONVERSATIONS — take the long-range view and don’t get sucked into the heat of the moment.  There’s a pressure and an intensity when a planet reaches 29 degrees because there’s nowhere to go but into 0 degrees of the next sign.  Kind of like taking a final exam before moving on to the next grade or class.  Be sensible…

Well, that’s it for now…stayed tuned…Blessings, Jenae

WISH UPON A STAR — VENUS IN PISCES — 2-26 — 3-21-2013
Hello dear Friends and Readers, now that Venus has entered Pisces that gives us 5, yes 5, planets in Pisces until the Spring Equinox March 20-21 depending on your time zone. AND, Mercury is retrograde, you’re probably noticing it by now…with Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Neptune all transiting through Pisces, it would be a good thing for you to note which house in your chart has Pisces on the cusp. We all have Pisces somewhere in our chart and often in 2 houses depending on the degree of the cusp. Pisces is very much about our spiritual aspiration and matters of conscience, so it’s important to be honest with yourself as well as other people, particularly now. If you feel ambivalent, then say so, don’t push yourself into a premature decision that you may regret later.
The mutable signs ( Gemini/Virgo/Sag) are going to be feeling the heat, especially since transiting Jupiter in Gemini is making squares to the Pisces planets, except for Neptune which has already happened and won’t come around again for approximately 12 years. Please try to slow down and doublecheck yourself, looking for mistakes in communication, paperwork, electrical matters, travel, transportation, etc. Virgo would be taking the oppositions — this could be a mystery involving someone close, someone you’re trying to figure out. Remember, too, that these are the health signs, so paying attention to your health is important right now. One more Virgo possibility would be issues with co-workers. The negative side of all this Pisces energy could be passive-aggressive behavior, avoid all behind the scenes gossip, rumors, innuendo. The people who participate in less than honest communication and behavior will pay penalties for it later. For Pisces natives, Happy Birthday!! You will be very busy for sure!! The positive side of such a concentration of Pisces energy is a sincere desire to help the planet, or animals, or people who are hurting. If you ask the Universe each morning, “OK Universe, where do you want me?” you will be guided to some amazing and very wonderful experiences. These could be spiritual or mundane, and really there is no difference. Be prepared for guidance through your dreams and meditations. Those of you who are creative could produce some very special art, music, writing, dance, photography, etc. Pisces people will do best during the next few weeks by allowing themselves some alone time each and every day for creativity. Your centers are so wide open right now that you may need to protect yourself from negative emotions radiating off of people. Learn how to clear yourself, through will, through affirmation, and a shower is a great help, too…
Pisces people may be working through something from the past, old hurts or trauma. Pisces can emerge from these transits stronger (Mars), clearer (Mercury), more at peace through forgiveness and letting go of pain (Venus and Neptune). When Venus is in our Sun sign, people are usually kind and remark often how beautiful you are — it’s because you are letting your inner light shine forth and being your true self. If Mercury wasn’t retro I’d suggest you go shopping when Venus conjoins your Sun. Keep your purchases on the small side in case you change your mind — yes, I hear you, one pair of shoes or a pedicure would be OK  :)) … This year just isn’t the right transits for major shopping, Pisces, unless you have good Venus transits from March 17th to 21st.
The other water signs, Cancer and Scorpio, should be feeling very much in the flow — good sense of intuition, timing, when to reconsider and when to approach the people in their lives. They should also be blossoming in their understanding of how to apply metaphysical principles to everyday life. Enjoy these Pisces trines now because the energy changes to Aries in late March…
The other earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn will be taking sextiles from the Pisces transits. A sextile means opportunity with some elbow grease required to maximize the positive potential. My impression is that the practical, down the earth nature of these signs will be softened by the Pisces energy and they can be more aware and appreciate the intangibles in life. With business deals, a good decision will FEEL right and you will know it. All parties involved need to benefit and if you have to make some concessions, you will KNOW that you are creating good karma for yourself. The items you need and imagine can appear in your life almost magically, so make your wish list. This is a great period to let some culture into your life — music, movies, tour the art museum, etc. Water benefits earth — it helps the garden grow  :))  Grow some sprouts at home so you know they are safe and add them to your salads for an early spring tonic… If you have houseplants, this is a great time to mist them with a small amount of liquid food in the water — the Sun is beginning to return to the north and the plants are waking up and ready to be fed  :))…
Leo and Libra people will take inconjunct (150*) transits from the Pisces planets. Always ask yourself first, with an inconjunct transit, who owns the problem? People can try to guilt-trip you into committing your time and energy to help them and it isn’t even your issue. Doublecheck yourself and make sure it isn’t you who is unconsciously inviting these inconvenient requests. Inconjuncts usually manifest at work and since Mercury is retro, be sure and ask astute questions to clarify the issues BEFORE you make your decision. If someone you love is hurting, of course you’re going to help them, but the point here is to help in a way that makes the person able to meet their own ordeal, helps them be stronger, not weaker. Sometimes if we charge in on the white horse, it weakens the person because they need to learn new skills and we rob them of that opportunity.
Aries and Aquarius people experience very mild, but helpful semi-sextile transits from Pisces planets for the next few weeks. These are 30 degree transits and use a tight orb, no more than 2 degrees. For Aries people, their usual vitality may be a little lower since it’s not quite their BDay yet. They like action and yet these Pisces transits  are encouraging planning and preparation BEFORE plunging into action next month. This would be a great period to begin strengthening your body, getting some exercise but MODERATION is a must at this time and watch your feet! If you are spacey, not your usual alert self, you could trip over something. Wear shoes appropriate for your activities and consider getting shoes repaired in advance of more action starting late March. These same suggestions would also apply to your pet. I know an Aries man who hikes with goats — his “Kids” — they need to get ready for the hiking season, too, after lounging around in the winter. Pay attention to your pets’ feet…
I know another Aries man who is determined to order a large amount of building materials while Mercury is retro… I mentioned to his wife that maybe she could get him to hold off for a few weeks but she said he wouldn’t listen. This is NOT the period to begin NEW projects, better to plan and doublecheck and do more research now.
Aquarians are also taking the semi-sextiles from Pisces but they’ve already had their BDay so their vitality is good. This is the time to move forward in small ways only and all the doublecheck for errors advice still applies to all of us. Since I am an Aquarian, I’ve been careful to doublecheck all the data for my clients, including correct addresses and phone numbers. I’ve spent a lot of time on the phone lately, both friends and clients. I’ve been clearing up loose ends on old cleaning and organizing projects and tentatively planning my schedule for March and April but staying pretty flexible and waiting for more information on a couple of larger projects and trips coming up after Mercury goes forward. I find myself being sensitive to the subtle clues that are there to guide my days — if I run into opposition I don’t push the river. I have some new subjects I want to write about and also some sewing projects lined up for the next few weeks, but I find myself waiting for it to really gel in my mind before I begin. I’ve had a few whopper dreams but once I got over the emotion of them I found some clues to help my family. I’ll be writing the Moon signs on the calendar for gardening season and starting seeds at the right time is a priority for me. My treat for getting work and chores done is to go outside and get the soil ready and feed the perennials. Naturally, other Aquarians would have different lives, activities and goals, but distill it down and this stands out — keep things simple and flexible for now and leave space in your schedules for new opportunities and people who want to connect with you…
That’s it for now…best wishes, Jenae

Hello again dear Friends and Readers, this is one of my favorite transits, Venus through Aquarius, and I hope to entertain you with a few good stories as well as help you understand how the transits work in real life.  My late Dad was my friend as well as my Dad.  One day I thought, “Gee, Dad and I haven’t been out to lunch in a couple of months.”  Within 30 seconds the phone rang and Dad said, “Want to go to lunch?”  We had a good laugh — these little psychic connections make mundane life  much more fun !!! … fast forward about 30 years and my sweetie has the same degree Ascendant as my Dad had his Moon in — 3 degrees Aquarius.  One day a few years ago we were driving in town and I thought, “Gee, it would be nice to go out to dinner, we haven’t done that in quite a while.”  I ran through the options in my head, Mexican, American, Thai, etc. and I thought Thai sounded good.  Before I could even say a word, my sweetie voiced my exact thoughts and we ended up having a very nice meal at the Thai restaurant :)…

So, folks, this is the transit to realize that your thoughts are powerful, they’re creative, and they run on electricity and we are all linked together on what I like to call “the invisible grape-vine”.  If you’re folding laundry and your Grandma comes to mind, probably a good idea to call or visit.  If you’re at home and your husband is out and you realize you need something from the store, try projecting it first and  wait 5 minutes and see if he doesn’t check in with you before he heads home.  I think it’s even easier to communicate on the psychic level with girlfriends and/or sisters, and brothers can often do it, too.  This is the transit to guess who is on the phone before you pick it up.  Try turning a deck of cards and see if you know which one will be next.  There’s all kinds of little tricks you can practice.  And believe me, these skills will come in very handy if the power goes out and you need to contact a loved one, or some other kind of emergency arises.

In the examples above, I forgot to mention that my Sun is conjunct my late Dad’s Moon and my sweetie’s Ascendant.  Naturally, these kinds of conjunctions make it easier to get on the same wave length. I have noticed that I usually feel close to Taurus women, because that is where my Moon is. Also, since my Venus is in Aquarius, I have many wonderful friends who are Aquarian, too.  Take inventory of the people in your life and look for those kinds of connections with your own chart. Sun on Moon, Ascendant, Venus, etc.  Uranus rules Aquarius and rules electrical systems in the body, along with Mercury.  I have a daughter living on the other side of the world and we share a Taurus Moon.  I’ll think of her and she will call within just a few minutes, or vice versa. We have proven to ourselves that a mental message can travel thousands of miles in an instant.  If only I could figure out how to teleport myself over there for dinner and a visit, and then back home to start my regular day J..… Aquarius, and particularly Venus in Aquarius, is very much about brotherly love, humanitarian love, friendship with great passion and loyalty and this love goes beyond any mundane boundaries of time, space, distance.  Love is love…

People who have mostly air and fire planets in their charts are more likely to experience this transit easily and with great benefits.  Earth can find Aquarius stimulating but potentially disruptive, so if you have a lot of earth planets, this transit will be easier if you stay flexible and open to innovation. People who have mostly water planets may feel a little put out by friends who don’t show enough sensitivity.  I have noticed Venus squares often have to do with difficulty finding agreement about social or cultural matters.  For example, a Scorpio is going to prefer a different movie than an Aquarian.  A Cancer might disagree with an Aquarian’s choice of restaurant; a Pisces might be a little frustrated with an Aquarian’s musical choices.  We Aquarians are not known for our sensitivity; our style is more direct and blunt and we rarely pussy-foot around.  We are friendly and we are kind, but I would suggest to you during this transit to SLOW DOWN a bit when suggesting social activities — make some room in the conversation and encourage quieter or more passive people to contribute their wishes and opinions, too.

This transit is fabulous for meetings and gatherings that are not purely social, that have a purpose beyond the pleasure of the moment.  Barn-building, quilting-bee energy — could be work-related, charitable, volunteering, community action — cooperation for the greater good is highly favored.

OK, let’s check out the coming transits to Venus in Aquarius this month…On Sunday February 3rd, Venus is semi-sextile (30 degrees) from Neptune.  Very good for healing, prayer circles, support groups of all kinds. This transit favors one on one conversations where one trusted friend helps another with a painful or troubling or confusing issue.  Sometime just listening helps the other person clear their head.

On the 4th, Moon in Sag sextiles Venus — great for gathering with friends, socializing, maybe discussing world events or philosophy.  If you’re a student, this one helps if you study in a small group.  On the 6th, Venus is sextile Uranus — sextile means helpful with a little effort or elbow grease required to get the best results.  This one is fabulous for psychic communication, both sending and receiving.  And if you have a question about your life, reach out to your guides, the invisible ones, for help and you  may find the answers come to you in a very surprising way. This transit often symbolizes unexpected good news.  Pay attention to your dreams, too, as Mercury conjoins Neptune the same day.

On the 7th Venus trines Jupiter — one of the luckiest transits in astrology.  I always tell my clients to make use of these trines, don’t just expect the prize to fall into your lap, though sometimes it DOES.  Do something to affirm your dreams and goals.  A great  day for writing and communication of all kinds, bopping around the neighborhood and connecting with people, receiving information that makes a positive change in your life.  This would also be a good day to enter contests, buy a lotto ticket, post items online for sale, or begin some kind of advertising campaign.  On the 9th the Moon conjoins Venus — wonderful for gatherings of women, or kindred spirits.  A great day for a shower, a party, a special ceremony or service.  Really folks, after the kinds of transits we’ve been having since last October, this week is a real positive and it is special — make it count !!!  New Moon is late Saturday night.

Monday the 11th is a square between Venus and Saturn.  This one can be a pain, an irritation, or something a lot more serious, depending on your individual chart.  People might feel sad, or wanting love and affection and not finding it.  There can be issues between friends, or between lovers. Hurt feelings.  If someone says they will do something and then they blow it off and don’t come through, the could be a deal-breaker in a close relationship.  Act with integrity and keep your promises.  Better to say no than to say yes and then wish you hadn’t…whatever it is, any misunderstanding could take a few days to straighten out, assuming it’s not terribly serious.  Try for a fresh  start when Moon in Aries sextiles Venus late on Wednesday the 13th.  Sometimes talking a walk with someone helps clear the air…

There’s a bunch of minor but potentially glitchy transits with Venus for the next 2 weeks, culminating in Moon opposition Venus on the 24th-25th.  Moon in Leo — ego? Pride? The blame game?  Oppositions can go either way — you could achieve a great rapport or find yourself in opposing corners.  I don’t see this particular transit as being about male-female relationships, though an individual chart could change that.  Unless as a couple, you are arguing about friends and/or social life,  I see this as more between parents and children (Leo) or between friends (Aquarius).  Remember, too, that it’s the Full Moon is Virgo/Pisces and this can amplify emotions. Be very careful if you’re trying to make a point that it is not interpreted as criticism.  Teenagers, in particular, tend to be very defensive. Parents will need to exercise self-discipline. True communication should come from the heart if there’s an issue you feel very strongly about — it will help to remember the ancient words…love is patient, love is kind, love is not puffed up…

Sorry to end the post with a difficult transit, but I didn’t write the book, I only interpret it…Blessings, Jenae
