Hello dear Friends and Readers, Most of you who follow me know that for the last few years I  post when a major planet changes signs, and I usually go through all the houses. This time I want to start with the nature of Jupiter in Capricorn to give you some general but pertinent information to help you formulate plans for your life. Before I begin, thank you for all the kind words and appreciation I have received over the last 8 years. They mean a lot to me…

Since Jupiter rules philosophy, let me share some of mine :))  To me, astrology is useful when it is practical. This does not negate the more etheric types of astrology that deal with a lot of symbolism and psychology. There is great benefit in using astrology as a tool for inner exploration…the more you meditate and study your chart, the more you will get out of it.  However, I feel that the purpose of my blog is to show you how to use astrology as a timing tool for reaching the goals in your life that help you be happier, to warn you when to lay low and be careful, to encourage you to grow and try new things to build your confidence in yourself, and when to expect the rewards, too. I have an exact trine and a mutual reception between Saturn in Virgo and Mercury in Capricorn. So I am known as a practical astrologer.

Some astrologers will note that Jupiter in Capricorn is in an uncomfortable place, but it is way different than when Saturn was in Sagittarius.  In 2020 Grand Earth Trines are accented.  By now you no doubt have read about the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn that is exact on 1-12-20 at 22 degrees Cap. (You can read my earlier post, too) The negative potential is vast and allowing for orb it is exact December, January, and February.  I already predicted the weather. It’s tough already and is going to get worse. The noise out of DC sets the country on edge and underlines the level of stress that most people are already trying to cope with on a daily basis. We’re going to have climate refugees and there will be a term called plastic dementia in a few years to explain why so many of the marine creatures are attacking humans, etc.  The building codes for foundations will be strengthened (Cap) because it will become fashionable to have rooftop gardens and greenhouses.  Yes, we know about the negatives but what I am finding as I work with individual charts is the country may be falling apart but individuals can shine and create whole new opportunities and businesses for themselves. So, in that spirit, let’s look at Jupiter in Cap as a beneficial influence to somewhat moderate the heaviness of Saturn-Pluto.

Jupiter expands whatever it touches, whether it’s a house or an actual birth planet. Jupiter rules religion, philosophy, higher education, foreign contacts and travel, libraries, books, licensing and ceremonies, humor, tolerance, and  generosity.

Jupiter is only negative through too much of a good thing. Alcohol, workaholic, shopaholic, binging of all kinds. I think Jupiter is more toned down in Capricorn, LESS inclined to go overboard, though having the right work/life balance will be important in 2020.

So…want a better career? Consider going back to school and be sure to look into employer-sponsored education.  Sometimes your job will pay some of the costs.  Education of all kinds is highly favored by this transit as long as there is a tangible result that improves your career, reputation, and public life — because that is what Capricorn rules. It also rules bones, joints, and teeth. ALL of us need to take very good care of these parts of our bodies. Don’t go to excess, start with  gentle stretching and don’t forget to warm up and cool down each time. Invest in dental insurance, or some of the electric toothbrushes, and a good quality mouthwash.  The Edgar Cayce foundation, the A R E in Virginia Beach, used to sell a mouthwash years ago, a good one that came from his readings.

Capricorn is very much about bringing goals into physical manifestion. When you build a house, you start with the foundation.  So 2020 is a great year to embark on a new project, to strengthen your foundation, and to take your responsibilities very seriously.  For some who are at home with children, this may mean taking your authority seriously. For some, it may mean their authority at work.  More on Jupiter in Capricorn tomorrow or the next day…Ciao for now…Jenae

Back again, dear Friends and Readers…sorry for the delay.  So busy planting !!  I plant by the Moon whenever possible. Getting back to Uranus transiting through Taurus, let’s take a look at the 11th house. While Uranus may not be comfortable in Taurus, it is most definitely at home in the 11th house of friends and groups, hopes and wishes for the future, and metaphysical interests. Uranus RULES the 11th house in the natural order of the zodiac, the Aquarian house. Historically, this is the barn-building/quilting bee energy — groups of people coming together for the common good. Put a modern spin on it and you get on-line crowd-funding, and groups using social media to raise money for good causes.  The 11th rules all social, fraternal, and charitable groups as well as labor unions.  Friends come together for many purposes and since we’re talking about Taurus, there can be a financial reason.  Anything from cooperative living, to holding a large yard sale, to forming a food buying club, or even an investment club like the Beardstown Ladies did in the 80’s — all these things have a Taurus flavor. Since Venus rules Taurus, coming together for artistic purposes, to create beauty, is also a strong possibility.

What we spend our money on says a lot about who we are. Taurus is the sign that represent core values.  I think you need to honor your feelings and take a deeper look if there is anything about particular friends that is troubling to you. There’s an old saying about Taurus —“neither a borrower, nor a lender be…”.  Sometimes mixing money and friends doesn’t work out too well. If you have squares from Uranus to planets in your natal, be cautious.  If people are coming together for the same purpose and their values are aligned, it can be a big success. There’s no one size fits all with this particular transit.

I know a woman who shares a studio, an art studio, with other people.  I know another woman who shares space at an antique mart. These are examples of coming together to create beauty, since Taurus is ruled by Venus.  Again with the financial energy intertwined, since they all pay a portion of the rent.

There is a wonderful community garden in the main part of downtown near where we live. It is beautiful, helps the people who need garden space, and improves health through eating fresh vegetables.  I’m not a member but I would imagine it fosters new friendships, too. There are no negatives. Cuba is another fabulous example. The government gave people permission to raise produce on vacant land in Havana and this built small businesses and improved the general health of the population.  Anything that improves community beautification would benefit from Uranus in Taurus in the 11th.  Murals, etc.

Ah…the 12th house… Uranus here will bring things to the surface from the unconscious mind. To me, this is the hardest house to interpret. The Pisces house of mental health, secret sorrows, past lives, spiritual aspiration, and compassionate love for the ill and afflicted.  I saw an ad on TV recently that showed some kind of electrical machine that could help depression. This would probably be a good example of Uranus in the 12th — science and gadgets and inventions and breakthroughs in the area of medicine, mental health, addiction, etc. Look for big changes in these areas over the next 6 years. Robot surgeons, on line doctors, etc.

Looking at the 12th house on a more personal level, pay particular attention to your dreams and daydreams.  Your own guides and teachers on the other side are there for you, planting seeds of inspiration and spiritual growth to help you achieve peace of mind. It is SO important to follow your conscience!!! Willfullness and rebellion will only create more karma, more pressure.  Really, it’s just easier to behave and do what you know you are supposed to do.  Be very careful about being judgemental about other people. If the qualities you see and dislike were not also in YOU, you wouldn’t be able to recognize them in others.  You DO have a right to choose who is healthy for you to associate with, but this is a private matter.  You can set your boundaries but you don’t need to announce it to the world. I’m a little hesitant to say this, but the 12th house is also the house of secret enemies, or behind the scenes subtle undermining by those you would hope you could trust.  If you are  dealing with that kind of situation, figure it’s some kind of karma that you are clearing. Acknowledge to yourself how you feel about it, the ugly truth if necessary, don’t expect them to change, and change yourself by disengaging emotionally from them.  Protect yourself.

Pay particular attention if you have natal planets in Taurus in the 12th house. The conjunction from Uranus can bring about very sudden and drastic events. Study your chart, meditate on the planet involved.  If you remember where we started with this series of posts, Uranus is like pruning a fruit tree to ensure new growth. If something is taken out of your life, it’s to make room for you to grow. This can be painful; this can be enlightening, too. The 12th is a hard house to interpret, it takes a lot of patience and honesty. Some of you may be in a caregiving situation.  The physical and mental health houses are intertwined.  If you are in a difficult situation with Uranus in your 12th, write to me privately if you like.

Well, we’re done for while :)) I will be working at Stargazers in Bellevue on June 15 & 16 if you want to come visit me.  I read palms and cards as well as the astrology.  Best wishes, Jenae

Hello Dear Readers and Friends, back again with more Uranus transits. The 8th house is shared money, shared love, shared power and emotional intimacy. It’s the Scorpio house, so achieving balance in these areas will be important over the next seven years.  There’s an old saying about Taurus — “Neither a borrower, nor a lender be…”  Since Uranus is the planet of surprises, this transit could go either way — from rags to riches, or riches to rags. Those of you who have this would be smart to run your progressed chart and check that against your natal to get clues of how things could go.  Ideally, you would want to strive for decisions that allow all parties involved to benefit. Financial opportunities could drop in your lap and your situation could be suddenly much improved.  There could also be sudden setbacks, unexpected expenses, events that play havoc with your security — job, partner’s job, banks changing owners, new tax rules, etc. etc. Insurance is ruled by the 8th house, so be sure to ask questions and read all the fine print before you sign for any policies.  If you are single and meet a new partner, please be cautious about getting involved too quickly.  Uranus is not known for stability.  If you are already in a stable partnership, there may be a lot of opportunities to grow closer, read each other more intuitively, bond closer even if there is a crisis.

Taurus is not just money, it’s our hobbies and talents and gifts. You could suddenly find yourself very passionate about new hobbies and build skills rapidly so there is a positive financial change as a result. Follow your heart in this area and don’t be afraid to try new things.  Maybe it’s sculpture, or you decide to lay tile, or raise orchids, or become an appraiser or an insurance adjuster — the possibilities are infinite.  You could even invent something and get it patented.

The next few years are a little tricky when it comes to lending possessions. Don’t borrow money if you have doubts you can pay it back, and the same goes for lending to others. Of course if you are a banker by profession, this transit is just the new incorporation of technology. For example, I read a story about a robot in China who took the place of a bank teller.  However, lending your favorite books, tools, clothes, etc. is not a great idea because you might not get them back. Gifting someone would be better than loaning during this transit.

Uranus in the 9th is the house of long distance travel and foreign contacts, philosophy and metaphysical studies as well as traditional churches. Uranus rules aviation as well as technology.  Do not fly if there are malefic squares or oppositions to Uranus from Mars, Saturn, or Pluto in your natal.  Do not fly when transiting Mars squares, opposes or conjoins Uranus in the 9th either !!  This transit is great for contacting special interest groups, kindred spirits from all over the USA or all over the world. There are many on-line forums.  Enjoy the learning :)) The 9th is higher ed — a great time to take classes online, too.

You may feel more drawn to world news and events.  This is one of the prophetic houses — you could have flashes of intuition about world events before they happen.  If you travel ( during benevolent transits), you could meet new friends or even find love in far away places. Taurus rules ancient Greece.  Since Taurus has a business connection, the next few years could be a great time to start an online business. This could begin as a side gig but end up as a full time career for you. Your new gig could have to do with learning and teaching, or importing foreign goods for domestic resale, or even something like sponsoring and/or coordinating on-line metaphysical classes.  Those are just a few of potential 9th house meanings.

Artists with this transit will be drawn to foreign, maybe historic, techniques. The use of technology can play a role in helping you produce art that can be mass marketed, like posters, or greeting cards, etc.  Not everyone with this transit is going to feel exceptionally outgoing and ready to rock the world. Introverted people with Uranus in the 8th may be drawn to more meditation and prayer, a quieter life, with time for yoga, Tai Chi, etc. Again, the foreign connection.  Reading and assimilating new knowledge will be important for everyone with Uranus moving through the 9th…

If you have Uranus transiting your 10th, be ready for changes in career and how you view success. I have watched a lot of people take this transit; remember it takes about 7 years no matter what sign you have in your 10th house.  The person grows in the conviction that they need more freedom to do their best work, and they often decide they need a new career altogether.  Sometimes they feel suffocated by a micro-managing boss; sometimes they have mastered their work and are ready for a new challenge.  Sometimes the person feels unappreciated but I have also seen people exit a career when the ethics of that business  do not fit with who they are.

Since we’re talking Taurus in your 10th, it would harder to leave a career if the pay is good, since Taurus prefers comfort and financial security. That is part of the potential problem. Taurus can get into a rut; it’s a habitual sign. Uranus isn’t !! Uranus likes to shake things up — and suddenly!! Remember the 10th is a cardinal house — more impact in your life. Those of you born in the 60’s have some beautiful grand earth trines coming down the turnpike.  The best advice I can give you is embrace the changes, don’t resist.  Even if it was something like losing your job to a robot, or a new boss that no one likes, or disruptive technology makes your company’s product obsolete — there’s a hidden opportunity for you that comes to light and makes your life BETTER if you open your mind to new possibilities.

Meanwhile save money and lighten up the spending on pleasure of the moment stuff. When the changes come, and they will, you will feel better if you have savings tucked away.  If there’s  something you have always wanted to do, use technology to get certified in the field you want.  Don’t bury your head and pretend all is well at work if it isn’t. Investigate online what possibilities are out there that will enhance your life.  You could have a real breakthrough that defines your life in a whole new way.

The 10th house is also a symbol for authority figures. Uranus can be  a rebellious energy. This is not the time to fight — with the boss, or about politics, with City Hall or the Planning Dept., or with your own parents either.  You have a right to have more freedom in your life; your task is to figure out how to get what you want and still keep your life relatively stable.  Take heart…Jupiter enters Capricorn on 12-2-19 and there will be helpful trines to your career house over that next year to help you achieve your goals…

Well, enough for tonight, 2 houses left for next time :))  Stay tuned… Namaste, Jenae
