Hello Dear Friends and Readers, if you’ve been following my blog for awhile you know I am a working astrologer.  It’s not that the more esoteric, mystical interpretations of planets and transits don’t work — they do — but I tend to bring astrology down to earth in a practical way because that is what my clients seem to need. Read on for an example of Mars and Uranus in the last degrees of Aries —  conjunct in February 2019…

My client was worried about her grown children. Starting in November 2018, we had reviewed her chart. I was worried, too. She has a Moon-Mars conjunction in her natal chart, in Aries, in her 4th house of home and family.  Mars is in the 29th degree, and any 29 is considered a critical degree.  The first pass of transiting Uranus came earlier, and the beloved family dog was killed when it got out of the house ran into the street and was hit by a car.  Her son immediately built a fence around the yard so the little grandkids couldn’t get to the street.  So Uranus entered Taurus and time passed with no other obvious incident until November — Uranus retrograde on 11-7 2018, back into Aries in the last two degrees until it re-enters Taurus on 3-6-19.  I kept warning my client to emphasize safety. I saw that in February 2019 Mars would be transiting the last few degrees of Aries, conjunct transiting Uranus again at the 29th degree. A double whammy, AND right on top of her NATAL Moon-Mars conjunction. I was so concerned that I called 2 other astrologers to talk it over, and one other very intuitive friend.  I asked my client to make sure the chimney was clean, change the smoke alarms’ batteries, check the electric plugs and wiring, ?install a lightning rod? , etc. etc.  Of course, the health and safety of her children was also discussed at length. She got one son into rehab and we thought maybe that was enough to diffuse the energy of that potentially malefic transit.

But even after he was in rehab, I was still worried and so was my client because her youngest, a  grown daughter, was ignoring signs from the Universe that she needed to take her life seriously.  There’s a myth in this society that the love of a good woman will reform an outlaw.  This is total nonsense but young women keep trying and usually end up heartbroken. So her mother talked to her, I did her transits and sent her a copy of her chart, and both of us reminded her that hanging out with an outlaw kind of guy was dangerous. Then a big truck semi side-swiped her little car when she was with him. No one was hurt. Did she learn? NO !!  At the end of January, she drove his car and the police stopped them and she got a DUI. After being handcuffed and put in jail, she was totally humbled and upset and said no more drinking and no more outlaw. Her mother was very upset but also relieved because she hoped her daughter truly meant it this time. She’d had plenty of warnings from the Universe; I’m not sharing them all in this post. But that the way things work — we get a little nudge —“Hey, you need to pay attention to this and take care of it”. If we ignore, then we get a bigger shake —“Hey, no fooling around, take care of this !!” And if we still don’t get it, the 3rd time we get clobbered.  Actually, it’s a benevolent Universe, giving us plenty of warning that our own karma is going to get us.

Anyway, here’s the end of the story.  I had warned my client, the mother, that the most critical time in her chart was February 6th through the 17th, when the transiting Mars and Uranus were conjunct and on her own Moon-Mars.   She changed plans, stayed home, prayed for her kids.  After having to go to court and face the judge by herself,  and upset and depressed, the daughter decided on February 5th to drive to her mother’s house (in another town) and spend the night there. At midnight, February 6th had just begun, my client woke up suddenly. She checked on her family and all were safe and sleeping. She read for awhile and finally went back to sleep. In the early morning,  all her daughters’ friends were calling. The outlaw boy had been driving his truck, very drunk, and crashed into the river. The only thing that kept him alive was the very cold water. He had skull fractures, facial fractures, spinal damage. It took hours for the  EMTs to extricate him and get him to the hospital. As of this writing, he is still alive and still in the hospital, with brain damage.   If my client’s daughter had been with him, she might have died. She knew it, her mother knew it, and I knew it. We were all so thankful and prayed that the man, even though he is an outlaw, might redeem his life and do some good in this world.

I sent my mind over to their  town and still felt that something else could happen. I called my client and said keep your guard up and stay vigilant.  That night, in the middle of the night, her daughter-in law woke up suddenly and heard a noise. She got up and went to check what it could be. A wall heater that hadn’t worked in months had suddenly clicked on. Why, we will never know, but the daughter-in-law realized there was a couch too close to that heater and moved it away. When she told my client the next morning, we realized truly there were angels protecting them because that heater could have caused a fire (Uranus-Mars — again!!)

Now Mars is in Taurus and things seem to have calmed down for this family.  The daughter will have to deal with the consequences of the DUI for a year, but she is in school and working, and seems to have learned to be more serious and responsible.  Time will tell…The outlaw guy is now in a position where he cannot hurt anyone.   And we all learned a lot about the accident potential on a Mars-Uranus conjunction.

May you all learn from this true story.  And I hope you never have to go through anything like this, ever.  When Mars comes around to your natal Uranus, accent safety and I always call it a “no fly zone” and tell my clients not to fly and to be extra careful…Mars goes around the wheel of the chart once every 2 years. The Uranus conjunction in my client’s chart was once in a lifetime…

Still working on Uranus in Taurus…stayed tuned…Namaste, Jenae

11-8-2018 to 12-2 2019

Good Evening dear Friends and Readers, let’s continue with the Jupiter transits through the houses. If you have Gemini rising, then Jupiter transiting Sagittarius would be most likely in your 7th house of partnerships. Now this house is really ANY important one on one relationship, not just marriage, and not just the piece of paper either. The 7th can symbolize business partnerships, mentor/teacher/student relationships, even open enemies. I have seen people both marry and divorce when either Jupiter OR Saturn transits through their 7th.  Looking at this transit another way, your luck and growth is likely to come to you through your partner. Sure, maybe they get a raise or a promotion, but what about your partner introducing to some kind of new learning and growth? It may be a hobby they have a passion for, but it could also be something new the two of you do together.  Maybe you learn a new language? Whatever it is, it can grow in importance in your life over the next 12 years. Meanwhile, THIS year, watch the time management. Your partner could be over-optimistic about planning their schedule.

If you have Taurus rising, the Jupiter in Sag will transit your 8th house of shared money, love, and power. This is the house that rules other peoples’ money, like mutual funds and group investments. The 8th is taxes, insurance, inheritance, and Jupiter here makes it easier to get a loan. Just don’t go overboard. Since Sag is one of the legal signs (Libra is the other), it would behoove you to file your taxes most carefully. Err on the side of caution.  Pay attention to all tax and insurance matters.  Inheritance is certainly possible, but the whole chart must concur…not just one planet. Besides, people inherit more than money. A dear one in your life may gift you with something they think you will treasure. Books, art, furniture, a music collection — it could be anything.  If you decide to buy into a time share vacation home or  condo, be sure to read all the rules FIRST! And ask questions !! I have heard that it can be very difficult to get out of these investments, should you get older or just change your mind later. Jupiter in the 8th should mean there is enough money to travel and romance can blossom during trips away from home…

Aries rising means Jupiter will transit Sag in your 9th house, its OWN house, so you get a double dose of travel, laughter, new experiences and new physical activities.  Outdoor life calls you.  Sports, too. This is an excellent transit to further your education, whether it’s school or self-study. If you need licensing or certification to pursue your career this is a good year to get it.  The 9th rules metaphysics and philosophy, so maybe you go to classes or a workshop to learn more about how the Universe works.  For the first time in history, all the information is available to us… to deeply understand how things work and how to create the life you want. You may meet people from other countries. Foreign and/or ancient cultures may interest you. The I Ching (China), Runes (Vikings), etc. are ancient methods of divination that you can use without anyone else’s help. Tarot is old but takes a lot of study. I like to recommend the simpler systems to people who are just beginning to learn about metaphysics. There’s another deck of cards that I recommend to my clients. Doreen Virtue has many decks, but this one in particular is called Angels and Saints. It’s very simple to use and most helpful to everyone I know who has tried it, myself included. Don’t be surprised if you meet a teacher this year.

Pisces rising means Jupiter in Sag will be transiting your 10th house of career, reputation, and public life. Usually this transit brings an increase in your stature at work. Guard your reputation and don’t play mind games. Live your life as if it will be tomorrow’s front page news.  People in many businesses may find themselves travelling more to workshops and tradeshows. Or a person could appear from far away to provide your business with training on site.  Jupiter in Sag could mean the government has new rules that apply to your career, or there could be legal issues that change the big picture. Not necessarily negative, just changes. If you need to get more advanced licensing or credentials to continue in your chosen career, then this is a very good year to fulfill those requirements. Some people with Jupiter in Sag in their 10th will relocate overseas for a new job. Others may seek new jobs with better pay and opportunities. This is a year for you to stretch and grow in your public or professional life. The Sag colors are royal blue and turquoise. Find ways to incorporate those colors at work :))

Aquarius rising means Jupiter is in your 11th house of friends, groups, and hopes and wishes for the future. No better transit to either take a class or teach a class. Teamwork and cooperation should prevail and you can make new friends who will last a lifetime. Follow your heart, your passion, and your aspiration when choosing what kind of class to take or teach. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it has a positive effect on the participants and everyone is 100% committed.  The 11th house also symbolizes all humanitarian groups and clubs, where people come together to make a better world. If this appeals to you, you could find some kind of large project is planned for your community, or even larger. The same things applies — you can meet great people and develop skills you didn’t even know you had :)) The 11th house also rules astrology, so studying your chart and the art itself can bring you unexpected benefits. I began my studies 50 years ago, hard to believe, but I started young and I have never lost my enthusiasm and passion.  Aquarius rising means you have a gift for understanding astrology and it will make your life both easier and more fun :))

If you have Capricorn rising, Jupiter in Sag in your 12th is a more subtle transit since this is a hidden and behind the scenes house. Jupiter here offers you help on a spiritual level. Cap rising has a lot going on that could be challenging — Saturn in your 1st, Pluto in your 1st, and depending on the rest of the chart you could even be facing quite the crisis. It may have to do with work but it also could be health changes. Jupiter in the 12th, which also rules hospitals, means you would receive very good care. That doesn’t absolve you of responsibility, though. The first rule of Saturn in your 1st is to take responsibility to ensure your good health — whether that means improved nutrition, more exercise, more naps, researching any medicines that are prescribed, etc.  The blessing of Jupiter in your 12th is no matter what’s going on, you have a lot of help from your guides and angels and from loved ones on the other side. This loving support can help you weather the crisis and emerge stronger spiritually. A lot of people with Cap rising ARE facing career changes. Saturn and Pluto may put enough pressure on you that you decide to go for a new job with more responsibility, and the courage to try something new ends up totally transforming your life in a positive way. I have seen this happen over and over again since Pluto entered Capricorn years ago and now with Saturn also in Cap, it’s a now or never kind of transit. It’s a great time to focus on yourself and strengthen any weaknesses. Have an honest conversation with yourself about just what those weaknesses are. Jupiter in the 12th will help you.

Hope this blog helped all of you :)) Happy Holidays…Jenae

Good Evening, dear Friends and Readers…Do you remember what you were doing 12 years ago, in 2007?  Jupiter takes 12 years to transit through all the signs, and now it is back in its own sign Sagittarius. Especially for people who are Sag or have natal Jupiter in Sag, whatever they focus on during this transit will grow in importance over the next 12 years. Jupiter expands whatever it touches. Every planet or aspect has both positive and negative connotations. Jupiter is considered the lucky planet; it is only negative through too much of a good thing. Here are some examples…too much booze and we get a hangover;  too much fast driving and the penalty could be a ticket; too much optimism and we find ourselves running late to everything and our budget goes into the red…you get the picture. Think about the nature of Jupiter — jovial, generous, upbeat, lucky, tolerant, able to see the future — Sag is one of the prophetic signs.

Sag, ruled by Jupiter is the natural 9th house on the wheel of the zodiac. The 9th is higher education that expands the mind, religion, metaphysics and philosophy, religious ceremonies, licensing and certification, long distance travel and foreign contacts.  Traditionally, Sag rules France, Italy, Switzerland, and Saudi Arabia. Eugene, Oregon is a Sagittarius town — I remember a previous Jupiter in Sag transit where the U of O Ducks had a stellar year:)) To my knowledge, there are no Sag states in the USA. A town’s chart is either the historical founding date, or the date of incorporation. There are astrology books that cover this.  Your local historical society is a great source of information, too.

For people with Sag rising (Ascendant), Jupiter in your 1st grows your confidence in expressing yourself out in the world. Teaching/training others, public speaking, writing — all are possibilities. Jupiter in the 1st usually expands your waistline, so watch those calories :)) It’s also a good time to become pregnant. You may find yourself reading more than usual, or even studying a foreign language. It’s a great year to visualize the kind of future you want for yourself.

Jupiter in your 2nd house will either increase your income through a raise or promotion, or it will increase your income because you decide to turn a personal interest or a hobby into a 2nd job.  This is really a fortuitous time to start your own business — even if small at first, Jupiter here at the start will help it grow in importance in your life. Just make sure you have the proper licensing or certification if it is needed. This transit is a good time to spend money to grow your skills and talents.

Jupiter in the 3rd is great for taking some kind of technical class at your local Community college. Classes that teach specific skills. Bookstores and libraries may become your new favorite hangouts. Usually this transit brings  good news through siblings and  cousins — engagements and weddings, a bigger home, new cars, etc.  It is good for buying a car as long as you check your other transits, AND avoid Mercury retro ( next one is 11-17 thru 12-6-2018. If you are already in school at a 4 year college, this transit is great for a teaching degree and in the 3rd could mean some kind of internship with the local schools K-12.  When Jupiter was in my 3rd, most of my clients that year were teachers. The 3rd also represents neighbors. Perhaps your neighborhood will improve in some way this year. MOST OF ALL, metaphysically, this year is very important to train yourself to think and speak positively. Pay attention to your inner self-talk and neutralize any negatives with positive thoughts!!

Jupiter in the 4th usually expands the family. There might be a new baby coming, as there is in my family, with Jupiter currently in my 4th. It could also symbolize a wedding, or a big family reunion, or relatives coming from a distance to visit you. If you are single, it could mean a new roommate moves in.  This is a great year to trace your roots through genealogy, interviewing the seniors in your family, doing Ancestry.com, 23 and Me, etc. Usually with this transit there is also some improvement in the physical home itself. Maybe you decide to remodel, or it could be something simple like painting one room, or adding a window, or changing the décor.  If you need to move, this next year might be the one… The 4th house is about deep emotions and unconditional love as well as family. This is a time when you can feel more comfortable with yourself and more accepting of your feeling nature. Life is not all logic and analysis.

When I had Jupiter in my 5th when I was younger, my kids won honors and awards, prizes, scholarships, etc. Young people may become more important in your life this year, whether they are your kids or someone else’s.  You might think you are teaching them new fun things, but they are probably teaching you, too :)) The 5th house is light-hearted play, romance, and creativity.  Having fun will be more important this year. Try to find joy in some activity every day for yourself. Those of you who are in the creative arts, or the entertainment industry, music, art, dance, etc….it  could be a VERY good year:))  If you are auditioning, don’t let Jupiter rev you into over-confidence.  Yes, be happy and confident, but stay in balance with yourself. Stay grounded.

Jupiter in your 6th house will improve your job conditions and usually it will bring better health. I saw a couple people get really sick when Jupiter was in their 6th, which is quite unusual, but in both cases they had really excellent care and made a good recovery. The 6th house is who you hire and who hires you. You could get a promotion, or some kind of new work on the job with more pay involved. An old boss may leave and a new one come in. Some of you could even end up with a long-distance move that comes about through your job. Even overseas, if you are so inclined. The 6th is small domestic pets. Perhaps you get a new pet this year. The 6th house rules nutrition. Try moderate amounts of new foods. Remember, Jupiter can exaggerate  whatever it touches. You don’t have to be like the guy I knew who ate nothing but carrots for 6 weeks and turned orange!!  Or the SAG lady I knew who ate almost nothing but salads and made herself really sick.  The body doesn’t fix in a day. It absorbs the love and care you give it and will respond nicely over time.

Well, I done for now…actually all this writing about food has made me hungry:))  I’ll do the other 6 houses tomorrow.  Best wishes, Jenae
