WISH UPON A STAR — ASTROLOGY AND PAST LIVES — PART THREE
Hello dear Friends and Readers, Today we’re going to look at some real charts and examine the clues in the natal to past lives. Two readers have volunteered their charts, both are women. We’ll call them Reader A and B. Both charts are posted so you can follow along.
Looking at Reader A, we see her North Node in Leo in the 12th house with her South Node in Aquarius in the 6th. Her Sun in Gemini is in the 11th house, the natural Aquarian house, so right there is a theme — sublimating the ego for the good of the whole group, cooperation, teamwork, etc. Her South Node in the 6th would seem to indicate that she is more comfortable working with a group of people, definitely a people person rather than a lone wolf. I actually know this person but we have never had a conversation about past lives during our sessions together. What I have observed over many years is she has held a number of jobs being of service to the public (6th house) and the kinds of jobs where cooperation among the employees (6th) is important to their mutual success. Looking at the exact trine from Saturn to her South Node, she can use the qualities of detachment, analysis, discipline, and fairness in her job, whether she is a worker, a supervisor, or a boss. So she’s already done group life, enjoys it. She’s familiar with it; those skills come with her from the past. The challenge is going to be that Leo in the 12th. People with North Node in Leo need to be whole-hearted and need to find the courage to put their heart on the line. What has given her the courage to engage her emotions, and this is a relatively new development in her life, say the last few years, is to stand up for the principles and ethics she most believes in. Look at her Moon in Sag in the 4th trine to the North Node. Children and young people engage her heart energies. Look at Cancer on the cusp of her 12th with Venus in the 12th. Unconditional love and nurturing, especially of the young. Her step-son has been a tremendous catalyst in her life. The older she gets the more she will enjoy hanging out with people younger than herself. Sometimes Gemini women can be a little too clinical, too detached. What makes Reader A special is she has and IS learning to blend her emotions with her active mind. The result is a warmer, kinder person who will end up inspiring others through her actions.
The 12th house is tricky; it’s the hardest house to interpret. It’s the house of secret sorrows, of hidden agendas, of really digging deep to understand ourselves. Conversely, it is also the house of our spiritual aspiration and compassion for others. This woman has had some challenges with both friends and family and had some key experiences during her 1st Saturn return where she realized that what she thought was real was an illusion on her part. This was painful but also liberating. If you look at her 12th cusp with the Cancer Venus, you can see it was connected with family. She likes family life — to her it was just one more happy group to cooperate with. However, she discovered that there were some family members who were real, and their love for her was real, and SOME who were manipulative, dishonest, and even cruel. She was very hurt but she also realized she had to set some new rules and boundaries. She stood by her principles and ethics and reconciled with some and parted ways with others. She also had to recognize and own that part of the problem was her style of communication. The North Node in this chart is ruled by her Sun in Gemini; her Mercury is retrograde and has some challenging aspects in the natal. Bottom line is she is learning that some friends are like family and some are not, and sometimes we can be friends with our relatives and sometimes not. The ties with these various family members are not new either. Though she is Italian by heredity, this is not what is showing up in the 12th. Italy is ruled by Sag — look at her Moon in the 4th — cute, yes? What IS showing up is native American experiences and most likely Scotland — the tribes, the clans, etc. She is learning to disengage from the combative energy and focus on the positive, cooperative relationships. She has both within her family and again, this is not new. She comes in to deal with it again, but in a new way this time. She has already learned that gossip, rumor, and innuendo clutter the picture. The more she loves and approves of herself (Leo) the less trouble she will have with relatives who seek to pounce on the weak and vulnerable. Leo wants to be loved. We have to love ourselves first, it starts from within, THEN the outside world will reflect it back to us.
India is ruled by Leo. I had a flash of her dancing when I began writing this post. The bells, the jewels, the beautiful, colorful fabrics. I think the Leo part of her 12th is indicating India. And I must share this with you because I think it’s so fascinating. In this life, during her 1st Saturn return, she began to teach dancing to others !!! Those 3 areas are what I would suggest she study — Scotland, the North American tribes, and India. Ask for dreams and answers to clarify. Look at pictures of those places. Study the life of those places historically — the homes, the clothes, the shoes, the food, etc. Study in particular some of the rules about families and family life within these cultures. Those will give her more clues. Since she has 4 planets retro, it wouldn’t hurt a bit to review the unspoken belief systems running through her own family, too. Trying to define and to determine what those are will help her decide if it works for her and she wants to keep them, or if it’s time to let some of them go…. Transiting Saturn is moving into her 4th, a perfect time to review the family legacy over the next few years…
Message for reader A — I have a very strong feeling that the Cinderella stepsister energy you were dealing with this summer had its origins in a life in India where you were a highly regarded dancer and there was jealousy on their part. You can just let it go…it’s their stuff and nothing to do with you…
READER B — moving on to a bird of a different feather :)) we find Reader B’s North Node in Taurus in her 5th house and her South in Scorpio in her 11th. Taurus values stability and the North is in her kid house, so providing a stable home for her children is going to be very important. We find her South Node in the 11th, the Aquarian house and she IS an Aquarian, plus the cusp of her 12th is Scorp with Neptune in the 12th in an exact square to her Sun. The 12th also contains Sag degrees, so we’ll also be looking at Jupiter. There’s a lot going on in this chart. People with Sun square Neptune have had a terrible loss and the pain can stay with them their whole life. It depends on how they handle it; with some people there’s so much scar tissue they’re afraid to trust or get close to anyone, with others it becomes the foundation of compassionate love for other people facing a crisis. Reader B has chosen that compassionate and loving response. I believe it was a divorce in her family when she was quite young. I have another client with Sun square Neptune who lost his father when he was a very young child. I have other clients with the same houses involved and they lost a sibling or a cousin, one lost a young neighbor friend. Reader B is likely to have compensated for a fear of abandonment by making sure she was always there for her children. That’s how it works, folks, it was all part of the plan…
Look a little closer at Neptune and what do you find? Neptune TRINE Venus, TRINE Saturn and TRINE Jupiter — she has a GRAND WATER TRINE !!! Plus look at the ruler of the 12th Pluto, conjunct the ruler of Aquarius at the top of the chart in her career house. These are opposing the Pisces planets but sextile to Neptune. Have you guessed already? This woman is a healer… In my opinion, looking at all these various patterns in her chart, including the 12th house stuff, this is one of the 1st times in that she has had a public presence. The water houses — the 4th, 8th, and 12th — this denotes a very private person. And we all know how Scorpio can keep a lid on it — they make great private detectives. Let’s talk about what she is doing in THIS life and then I’ll tell you what I see in her past…
She is a very friendly and outgoing person, but at the same time she is also very private. Usually people with these traits prefer their friends one on one or in very small groups rather than the larger group activities. She had a much more visible presence for some years because she owned a store that helped people be healthier. Now she is studying naturopathy — doing what comes naturally to her J and planning to work how she is most comfortable — one on one. Her clients will trust her and she will use her very great talents to be a private detective for better health for others. With so much emphasis on Virgo and Pisces in this chart, she can work on the physical level and/or the mental level. I believe she is supposed to be doing both. Reike, herbs, vitamins, yoga, Chi Kung, homeopathic, faith healing, shamanic healing, kinesiology — the more versatile she is, the better the results. She is not inclined toward traditional AMA medicine but I think she needs to study that, too, to be aware of the trends and the research, to better serve her clients. Especially the endocrine systems and physiology in general. Hygiene, diet, nutrition — these are ruled by Virgo. I don’t see her getting a formal nursing degree, but people in need will find their way to her door, just as they have for centuries…it really doesn’t matter which discipline she follows, what she is really doing is channeling the healing energy to alleviate suffering in society. She is quite the conduit for the universal healing energy; I’m not sure if she even realizes that yet, but when she’s an old lady she will have some amazing tales to tell and that would be the time to write a book to help and teach others on the same path…
I see this person as a member of secret societies in the past — the Essenes for one, and possibly the Knights Templar or some similar group — they were metaphysical but there was a warrior element, too. Look at Mars as both the old ruler of her 12th (before Pluto was discovered) and also the ruler of her Moon in Aries. I think she was comfortable as a male, priest in an ancient temple/ priestess, too — again it doesn’t really matter because the healing work was always with the same intention. Biblical times would be indicated with all the Pisces and the Neptune in the 12th and I have the impression of a life even farther back before recorded history as we know it, a life in a temple by the sea where she WAS female…
Most likely more than one life spent by the sea, there’s an affinity for water in this chart. Her Jupiter in the 8th rules the later part of her 12th — probably the native American experience with the herbs, the gathering of medicines, etc. I would be very surprised if she doesn’t have a medicine bag in THIS life — the items she puts into the bag will be given to her by spirit, the guidance comes through spirit, through dreams, meditation, etc.
So, to sum up, Reader B has led cloistered lives before and this time she is meant to be a little more public with her healing ability. At this time and place, it is more possible to do this in the US as a female. For fun (North Node in the 5th) she loves gardening and landscaping. An herb garden would also be likely. Taurus likes to create beauty…
There’s a big issue about North and South Nodes in Taurus/Scorpio and vice versa that I have seen over and over again for so many years…it’s infidelity. You can’t tell who is the doer and who is the doee but one way or another there is the experience that what takes 20 years to build can be destroyed in 20 minutes. Trust is long in the building and needs to be cherished. Taurus is stubborn, loyal and they don’t let go. The 3rd party in this case was a computer, not a physical person. Look at the South Node in the 11th, one of the technology houses. The problem was in how the technology was being used. There’s nothing wrong with computers in themselves. She could have walked away, but she didn’t. By sheer will and tenacity she endured through the crisis, took a stand and didn’t back down, and eventually the whole situation was redeemed and healed. That doesn’t happen very often. I have been doing this work for so many years and I can only think of less than 10 out of hundreds of couples. The reason I even bring this up is Saturn has just entered Scorpio and this is so big and so important that I will address this long transit in a post very soon.
Well, that’s all for now, hope you enjoyed and if you want more on this subject, feel free to ask or comment. Blessings, Jenae
